Mama in Spain

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." Col 3:23
As many of you know, my mom just returned from a 100 mile pilgrimage in Spain. Those of you who know my mom and her story, know how truly amazing this is. I still remember this time last year, when my mom was just out of the hospital, and she was planning her Spain Pilgrimage. None of us were quite sure how she was going to do it, but if you know my mom, you know that when she makes up her mind, stuff happens.:) She started training by walking a mile, a mile eventually became a few miles, and a year later, she was walking 20 miles a day up and down hills in Spain with a backpack! We thank God daily for his blessings and for keeping my mom safe during this journey.
Ready to begin...

This is my mom with her pilgrim partner, Debbie (aka. "partner in crime").

On the road...

The scenery...

At the end of the pilgrimage, she was awarded a certificate.

I flew to Cali to surprise her when she returned. I love surprises anyway, but this was probably my favorite ever!

My dad and Ed (Debbie's husband) with the banner...

I was hiding behind the banner and when she got close, I surprised her! It was such a fun moment! This is something that my mom has wanted to do for a long time, and it was so cool to be a part of it. And, of course, you have to love the "surprised" face! You can click on it and really see it well!:)

So sweet...

And one last thing...I know that so many of you have faithfully prayed for our family over the last year and I just want you to know how much we appreciate your prayers. We thank God for this undeserved blessing! My eyes sprung leaks just thinking about how blessed we are!
Love you friends!
